Richmond Magazine’s First Look at the Historic Hofheimer Building

Richmond’s Scott’s Addition is a hub of history and innovation, and The Hofheimer Building stands at its center. Once a rug store and camera emporium, this 14,000-square-foot landmark has been transformed by Snipes Properties into a premier venue for events, dining, and community gatherings.

A Space for the Community

With stunning wood floors and an open layout, the second floor is ideal for art exhibits, parties, and meetings. The 3,500-square-foot rooftop offers breathtaking views of Scott’s Addition and Broad Street, hosting up to 400 guests.

A Taste of Authentic Chinese Cuisine

The ground floor is home to Peter Chang, a 75-seat restaurant designed entirely in China and offering an authentic dining experience. Led by chef de cuisine Haibin Wang, the menu mirrors Peter Chang China Café in Short Pump. Chang chose The Hofheimer Building for its history and prime location, blending Chinese culture with American heritage.

Experience The Hofheimer

With events, rooftop gatherings, and incredible cuisine, The Hofheimer Building is shaping Scott’s Addition’s future. Stop by on a Thursday evening, enjoy the view, and be part of the story.
